How linear feet and square feet convert
Linear feet = square feet ÷ width in feet. A 6 in board is 0.5 ft wide, so 100 ÷ 0.5 = 200.00 linear feet. The other direction is square feet = linear feet × width in feet. 200 × 0.5 = 100.00 square feet. One square meter is 10.7639104167 square feet. The meter line is linear feet × 0.3048.
The length total does not use the area. Each row is feet × 12 plus the inches. The four rows add, then the inches are carried into feet. 306 inches is 25 ft and 6 in, or 25.50 ft, or 7.77 m. An inch entry of 14 is allowed. It is not rejected for being 12 or more.
